The name of the blog comes from the phrase "billions and billions" that was frequently attributed to the late astronomer, Carl Sagan. While Carl Sagan never used the phrase "billions and billions" (he deemed it too "imprecise") he did use the phrase "billions upon billions" in the his TV series, Cosmos. I hope that this blog will bring to mind the vastness of the universe.
